TOM LEHRER AND THE MASOCHISM TANGO

Last night I saw the news that Tom Lehrer had died (July 26th) and, like many other celebrity deaths this year, it pinged my childhood memories. He was 97 and lived a long life, but somehow it still hurts.

Tom Lehrer was a brilliant man. He was actually considered a childhood prodigy and entered Harvard at 15. He graduated from there with two Mathematics degrees, and later taught mathematics and other classes at MIT, Harvard, Wellesley, and the University of California, Santa Cruz. He also taught Political science and his love of math and politics both come up frequently in the career he’s best known for: comical music.

Because despite his years in teaching, his work with the NSA, and his job with the Atomic Energy Commission … most people know him best for his music. He had multiple albums released, did several tours, and even wrote songs for the children’s show The Electric Company.

NEW RELEASE AND FREEBIE

Hello, everyone!

It’s been a while since I had a new book out. I’ve been doing a lot of anthologies lately, which has taken up most of my writing time, so my last solo book release was actually in August when I finished the Action Daddy series.

Eeek.

This book is part of Rawhide Ranch, a multi-author franchise about a BDSM ranch where people can live out their fantasies.

As you might guess from the name, it is about a DDlg relationship. I really felt like I got to know Angel and Heaven in this book. Everything just… fit, and it came out exactly how I wanted it to.

This is the second book about this couple, and I really feel like you get to see the way they’ve transitioned from a nervous new relationship to being stable partners with a future.

Harmonizing with Little Heaven Leigh

Sometimes getting everything you want, means leaving some things behind…

Heaven Leigh loves her life at Rawhide Ranch.

She loves her job, her friends, and most importantly, her sweet, patient Daddy, Angel.

She also really loves baking fun cakes and things for the pranks her friends like to play… even if she isn’t super excited about the sore bottom those pranks get her.

But building a life at Rawhide means giving up the last ties she has to the only mother she’s ever known— the company she helped build from a struggling bakery into an empire.

And if she wants to keep moving forward, if she wants the happily ever after Angel has promised her, she’s going to have to accept that embracing her future means letting go of some of her past… Warning: Kink, BDSM, DDlg

Harmonizing is a sequel to Heaven Leigh’s Little Halloween which is FREE today!

Just a Quick Catch Up!

News and Updates graphic

I know things have been quiet on the blog lately. It’s not for lack of things to say!

I have a lot of articles I’m working on, and as always, I welcome suggestions to add to my list. However, I hit a real slump in November, and it got worse in December.

To say December was a bad month… well, that’s probably understating it. Health issues, expensive flooding through the ceiling of the kitchen, combined with hectic holidays, and a spate of people stealing my books… it just really overwhelmed me.

I was struggling under deadlines, and when I had to drop the Krampus book, which I was really enjoying writing, it really sank my mood.

I’m starting to pick things up now, finally. Still swamped with deadlines, unfortunately. But my mood has lifted, and I’m working my way out from under a pile of stress.

So, that’s why things have been quiet here. But I do have news!

Next week there is an article going up called: DISABILITY AND KINK, which is probably long overdue. I plan to have a second one up before the end of February, but I’m not sure what the topic will be yet. I’m working on several, so it will be whichever I finish first.

For those of you who found your way here through my books, there is a new Dirty Daddies anthology coming out next week, with a Sam and Charlie novella in it. I’m very excited to see what people think about that.

It’s currently deeply discounted on pre-order until it releases. So, if you’re interested in hot cowboy Daddies, you might want to grab it here: Giddy Up, Daddy

And I’m currently working on my story for the Dirty Daddies Daddy, Sir military anthology, which is also discounted for pre-order. It introduces a new couple Oliver and Jamie, who are in high school ROTC together, and then later reconnect at a reunion.

That’s all for now, but I’ll see you back here next week!

Happy New Year!

Well, we made it to 2025.

2024 was a huge struggle for me, especially the last month. December was filled with challenges and trials. Late deadlines, health issues, and an exploding hot water line that flooded the kitchen and destroyed hours of holiday baking.

I never finished the Krampus book I intended to have out in early December, and I am literally still working on my holiday cards right now. I’m not even half done. Since each one takes me between 30-60 minutes, I’ll probably be finishing in February at this point. Ah well.

I think it’s pretty obvious why the blog was quiet in December. I have several articles in various stages of completion, but none of them are short or quick, so I just haven’t had the chance to finish any of them. And this year, unfortunately, is going to be just as busy as last year. Eek.

So, I’m going to get to them as soon as I can, but I did want to check in, so you know I’m still here and active. I hope your holidays, whichever you celebrate, were lovely, and I hope the new year is filled with the best things for you.

Oh, and in the meantime, don’t forget you can always drop suggestions for things you’d like to see!
