I submitted a book to my publisher back in February (tentatively) titled Surrendering to her General. So my first news is that I decided to put together a new logo to use when posting about writer issues, writer problems, etc. I thought it would be more fun to have a little cartoon to go along with it, and people seem to like them–yay! So after making the logo I decided to use it as a background for the text so I could post things as memes, and I’m liking how it looks.

So a couple weeks ago I mentioned that my new novel was going to be science fiction. I don’t want to give too much away, but I do went to share a little with you since it’s coming along so well. We’re looking at a race of Dominant sadistic aliens–most of them are Dominant to varying degrees, all of them are sadists.
Without an outlet for their sadism, without balance, they’ve become a feared race of warriors around the universe. But then they discover a small portion of Earth people are not only submissive but masochists. The uniqueness of people who will not only accept the pain willingly, but can actually enjoy it, is exciting to the Sadecs. They call them Pain Receivers, and they all want one of their very own, but since there aren’t enough to go around there’s going to be a lot of sharing.
From that I think you can get a pretty good idea of the type of story it’s going to be. It’s not a reverse harem, but there will definitely be some aspects of that. It’s not an alien abduction novel, but there’s aspects of that too. I like to come at things from a unique angle.
So, that’s just a little teaser on the plot, but I’m going to share a very steamy scene here in a second (I wouldn’t read it at work…be warned) and so there’s one thing you need to know to completely understand what’s happening. The aliens secrete a hormone from their fingertips, at will, which can stop a human from reaching orgasm. It doesn’t stop the arousal just the completion, which means the Sadecs have found a very creative torture that our little main character isn’t prepared for.
