I’m just back from a fabulous vacation in Disney. Exhausting and painful, but fantastic and now I’m rushing around getting ready for the new release. I’ll have a proper blog post up for you in a couple of days but for now–look! I made a thing!
I just got the cover for the final Timeless Love book – No Time Like The Present and I love it! I hope you guys do too. I can really feel the chemistry and sparks between the models and I think they fit the look I had in my head pretty nicely as well.
A lot of times, as an author, you don’t get to see your internal vision realized on the cover. It can often be far too expensive to get exactly what you want, and time is a factor too–but the biggest problem is that what you see in your head isn’t always marketable. If it’s not what’s selling at the moment, you risk a failed book and your marketing team will dig their heels in.
So you have to work with your publisher to meet somewhere in the middle. With this book that was not a problem. I knew I adored it as soon as I set eyes on it. I think the backdrop might just give you a hint about where part of this book takes place, but I’m going to warn you…it’s only one of many locations Jack and Kitty will be visiting over the course of this book, and I guarantee you won’t guess where they end up!
So without further ado, I present to you:
No Time Like The Present
Timeless Love Book Three
It will be available on Amazon around September 20th. In the meantime if you haven’t read the first two books in the series you can find them on my Amazon Author page here: Kessily Lewel-Author
So a couple weeks ago I mentioned that my new novel was going to be science fiction. I don’t want to give too much away, but I do went to share a little with you since it’s coming along so well. We’re looking at a race of Dominant sadistic aliens–most of them are Dominant to varying degrees, all of them are sadists.
Without an outlet for their sadism, without balance, they’ve become a feared race of warriors around the universe. But then they discover a small portion of Earth people are not only submissive but masochists. The uniqueness of people who will not only accept the pain willingly, but can actually enjoy it, is exciting to the Sadecs. They call them Pain Receivers, and they all want one of their very own, but since there aren’t enough to go around there’s going to be a lot of sharing.
From that I think you can get a pretty good idea of the type of story it’s going to be. It’s not a reverse harem, but there will definitely be some aspects of that. It’s not an alien abduction novel, but there’s aspects of that too. I like to come at things from a unique angle.
So, that’s just a little teaser on the plot, but I’m going to share a very steamy scene here in a second (I wouldn’t read it at work…be warned) and so there’s one thing you need to know to completely understand what’s happening. The aliens secrete a hormone from their fingertips, at will, which can stop a human from reaching orgasm. It doesn’t stop the arousal just the completion, which means the Sadecs have found a very creative torture that our little main character isn’t prepared for.
Teaser scene below (Unedited so don’t judge too harshly, but comments are always welcome.)
After my first series, which was paranormal romance, and my second series which was time travel, I felt a need to go in a new direction for the next book. I haven’t done any science fiction in a while and I decided space was a good place to look for new ideas.
So, I’m currently working on two futuristic space novels that are going in two very different directions and I haven’t been saying much about them until the storyline clarified in my head and I was sure of where I was going. Since one book is now on the third chapter I’m feeling a little more confident about discussing it—at least the basic setup.
Hello everyone! Hope your week is going well. Today’s post is going to be interesting because it’s a punishment.
So, when I started this blog I intended to write from the perspective of what I am, a writer, and discuss things in a theoretical sense, and not as someone who lives these things or experiences them. That lasted for about two posts I think, before I realized that’s not really who I am or how I want to run this blog.
What I really am is a submissive, and I’ve been pretty much open about that my whole life, except when it came to my day job where it wouldn’t have been appropriate or gone over well. Once I stopped having a day job I felt I was finally free to express myself openly, without fear of how people would react, and I dropped the last of my pretenses, or so I thought.
