Happy Holidays!

No matter what holiday you celebrate, I hope you have a joyous one. I thought you might enjoy seeing this holiday doodle from one of the cards I sent out.

On a serious note… the holidays are rough for many and it’s been worse the past couple of years, thanks to Covid. Many people haven’t been able to spend the holidays with their loved ones. And just when things were looking up, we get hit with new strains.

It can be easy to get overwhelmed with holiday depression and sadness in the best year… this is not the best year.

But there’s hope that things will be better in 2022. The vaccinations seem to be working against the new strains and the world is opening up. So take what joy you can find and try to live each day as it comes.

I know that’s easier to say than to do, but it’s how I get through the holidays. That and making myself reach out to people daily even though I’d rather pull away.

I try to remind myself that I’m not a burden, that I don’t need to be happy all the time to be liked. It’s not my job to entertain people at the expense of my mental health and I’m allowed to be down sometimes too.

These aren’t easy things to learn, to hold onto, and it takes constant work. I hope this helps someone out there.

Happy Holidays to you and I’ll see you in the new year!
